    A Fruitful Year!
    We had such a busy post exam programme that Ms Ng had very little time to spend with 4D. I'm glad that all of you got to go on learning journeys and really proud of all of you who were at your best behaviour and left wonderful impressions for the public.

    Ms Ng has already briefed you on some of the things that will continue into 2010. Do spend the holidays wisely and make sure you complete your holiday homework too!

    Kolams - Colour your own and print the image!
    You can find some kolams here. Colour them online and print them out for decorating your room or locker in school! Make sure you also understand what the kolams signify for the Hindus!

    Writing Tips 1
    Here are some ways you can power-up your stories with super introductions!
    Dialogue - E.g. "Pa, can I go to Jason's house?Please?" Keane begged.
    Sound - Add feelings and sounds E.g. Plink! The precious ring bounced off the steps as it rolled further and further away.
    Action - Describe exciting events E.g. I jumped out of bed, hopped into my uniform and grabbed my bag. With no time to lose, I got on the bus and was on my way to school! "I'm going to be so late!"

    About WRITING..
    We've looked at continuous writing in class. Do you remember the situation, task(instructions) and prompts? Do look through the red book, resource file and the Writer's notes to help you revise for composition writing. Remember, writing is a process. Being consistent in revision is important.

    Go to Google and search for freemind and click to download the freeware. Explore the software and use it to create a concept map on
    - Materials (Compulsory)
    - Plant parts*
    - Digestive System* (*Optional)

    If you are able to create one, please send it to Miss Ng at NG_BIH_HUEY@ xingnanpri.edu.sg using your email account in asknlearn.
    If you cannot send it, just save it on a thumbdrive and transfer it to Miss Ng next week. :)

    If you do not have freemind, do not worry, just do a map on paper! It is equally good!

    Theme: Drugs & Inhalants Destroy Lives --- By 1st September 2009
    Size: Must be smaller than A3 (29.7cm by 42cm)
    You can use:
    Drawing blocks
    Styrofoam boards
    Plastic sheets and other 2D materials

    to do bookmarks,greeting cards, posters, collage, printmaking, rubber stamping, scrapbook making etc
    NO COMPUTER IS ALLOWED for the creation of your artwork.

    Use simple slogans to tell people the message of Anti-Drug Abuse.
